How to Donate

SPHDS accepts donations year round. Because the school is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible.

 

Online donations

All online donations are processed by our donation platform (Etapestry), which accepts debit/credit cards or EFTs.

"The Annual Fund" is the name of our ongoing year-round fundraising campaign. It is not tied to a specific event, such as Giving Tuesday or the school Gala. Click here to donate to The Annual Fund

Matching Gifts

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which employers will match donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. 

The best matching plans are not limited to cash donations: employers such as Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Meta may also match volunteering hours, securities and other real property (cars, real estate, etc.)

Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process.

Whether you give cash, securities or real property, many employers offer matching gift programs, which significantly increase the value of your gift to SPHDS.

Honor Funds

Making an Honor Fund tribute gift is a wonderful way to honor a family member, friend, colleague or loved one while at the same time supporting SPHDS. Contributions may be made in any amount; often, they are made in increments of $18, a number signifying the Hebrew word meaning “life.” Donations to tribute funds can mark a special occasion such as a wedding, a new baby, graduation, special achievement, or in memory of a loved one. Numerous tribute funds exist at SPHDS including the Unrestricted Fund, the Head of School’s Discretionary Fund, the Library Fund, Gan Aviv Pre-school, Science Lab, and Playground Equipment. A tribute card will be sent to the person(s) the donor wishes to acknowledge, informing them of the donation.
