Tuition assistance

Opening the door
to Jewish education.

SPHDS is committed to making its education accessible. Tuition assistance is available to families with children enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 8, and a new application is required each school year.

How to apply for tuition assistance

Families complete the tuition assistance application and submit all required financial documentation. There is currently no set deadline for 2026–2027 tuition assistance applications.

1

Apply to SPHDS

New families begin with the ParentLocker admissions application.

2

Complete the assistance application

Fill out the ParentLocker tuition assistance application. A new application is required each school year.

3

Prepare documentation

Submit all required financial documentation. For families whose full income is not reflected on W-2 forms, the committee requires at least three months of personal bank statements and credit card bills.

4

Receive a decision

The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews each complete application and considers the family’s financial need in relation to the school’s available assistance budget. Families are notified by email of the decision and award amount.

All Tuition Assistance applications, records, and decisions are kept confidential, and recipients are unknown by the school’s educational staff.

Talk with the tuition office

If cost is a concern, speak with the tuition office about the process and available options. Tuition assistance awards are moral scholarships, and recipients are encouraged to give back when they are financially able in the future.
