Learning through play
in English and Hebrew.

Children are capable, curious people with ideas worth listening to. Our Early Childhood program offers the care, trust, and thoughtful guidance they need to explore their world.

A play-based preschool inspired by Reggio Emilia

Inspired by Reggio Emilia and the work of Malka Haas, our play-based program follows children’s questions and interests. Educators create opportunities to investigate with open-ended materials, natural objects, movement, and conversation.

Children make choices, test ideas, and learn alongside one another. Adults offer the patient support that helps independence, language, and relationships take root.

In the classroom

English & Hebrew

Language belongs to everyday life: conversation, stories, music, and shared experiences help children make connections.

Jewish life & music

Holidays, Torah stories, song, and celebrations introduce Jewish traditions as a joyful part of children’s lives.

Indoors & outdoors

The classroom extends into the natural world, with space to move, observe, imagine, and create.

A day in Early Childhood

Our daily schedule is designed as a consistent but flexible “flow” rather than a rigid timeline. We prioritize listening to the children’s needs, energy levels, and interests at the moment. This responsive approach allows us to accommodate special events, weather changes, or moments of deep engagement while maintaining a predictable sense of security for the children. The schedule shown here is a general example; it looks slightly different for each age group.

8:15–10:20 · Arrive & connect

Morning explorations and small-group activities; clean up, hygiene, and outdoor transition; morning meeting and tefillah; handwashing and snack.

10:20–12:00 · Investigate & create

Center explorations (art, sensory, and project work), followed by outdoor exploration.

12:00–2:15 · Share & belong

Mid-day gathering with music, Torah stories, and Shabbat party; handwashing and lunch; hygiene and rest time.

2:15–5:00 · Reflect & reconnect

Outdoor exploration; snack, open play, and closing circle; extended-room open play and story time; dismissal from 4:45.
