Welcome to “Little Learners” – the brand new family center at SPHDS!

Get ready to experience a special place designed for connection and growth. Our Early Childhood Parent Center is a warm and inviting haven for infants and toddlers aged birth to 24 months, where both you and your child can thrive.
​
​
Imagine a space where your little one can joyfully explore, learn, and socialize in a safe and stimulating environment. But the Little Learner Center is more than just a place for babies and toddlers – it's a community where you, as a parent, are actively involved in the fun and development!

We believe in fostering a strong bond between parent and child through shared experiences. That's why our planned activities are thoughtfully designed to be engaging for both of you.
​
Center Hours:
The center is open daily for free play from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
​
Parent-Child Classes:
Classes are held every morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, with an additional session on Mondays. All our classes are conducted entirely in Hebrew and include:

Monday: Art & Sensory Class ( 9:00-9:45)

Monday: Parent-Child Movement (11:30 AM – 12:15 PM)

Tuesday: Parent-Child Movement (9-9:45)

Wednesday: "Sipur-Chick" – Puppet Theater (9-9:45)

Thursday: "Pit, Pat, Toe" – Connecting with Your Baby with speech therapist (9-9:45)

Friday: Special Shabbat Celebration (9-9:45)

Mommy Talks led by “Bait Be Valley”. Monthly parental topics that would resonate with any parents to infants and toddlers in navigating the challenges of parenthood

While your child is busy learning and growing alongside you, you'll also have the wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents, share experiences, and build a supportive network – all while enjoying a cup of coffee in our welcoming space.

Activity descriptions
Sensory Creative Play (with Morah Ayelet Mikaelovich)
We are thrilled to have Ayelet lead this program. With a B.A. in Arts, Ayelet brings a deep understanding of aesthetic development and creative expression to the classroom.This course is crafted to engage the natural curiosity of children aged 3 months to 2 years, providing a rich environment where textures, colors, and sounds come to life.In each session, children dive into a world of "process-based" art and sensory exploration.We provide all the materials—many of which are taste-safe—so your child can explore freely without you worrying about the cleanup at home!

Movement Class (with Liron Dotan)
Liron holding a B.A. in Dance and a teaching certificate. With over 20 years of experience working with everyone from young children to adults, She lives and breathes movement and music. Come experience a pleasant, pampering session designed for both you and your baby. We will gently strengthen and stretch the body, focusing on restoring core strength and improving posture for moms.

Together, we’ll move to the rhythm of rich, soul-stirring music, engaging all the senses for a fun, bonding, and supportive encounter.We invite you to a class that is all about quality time, development, and closeness for you and your little one.

“Sipurchik - Puppet Show” (with Koren Sheffiy Zuckerman)
Koren is the founder of Treehouse Learning LLC and a professional puppeteer with over two decades of experience in entertainment and education. Specializing in puppet shows, storytelling, and event hosting for both children and adults.

Sipurchik brings classic children's stories to life through to audiences of infants and toddlers with their parents:

Interactive storytelling: Immersive narratives that capture young imaginations while building vocabulary and comprehension skills.

Captivating puppet shows: Bringing beloved characters to life through entertaining stories that delight and engage.

Creative hands-on activities: Fostering artistic expression and fine motor skills through projects that parents and children complete together.

Music and movement: Engaging children through lively songs, dance, and movement activities that make learning fun and active.

Holiday celebrations: Special themed stories and puppet shows that bring Jewish holidays to life, making celebrations more meaningful and engaging for young children.

Playful Learning for Parents and Babies
Discover "Chit, Chat, Chatter" (with Efrat Harel- Nov): Efrat is a speech therapist specializing in child development and an educational and therapeutic consultant for early childhood.A weekly meeting with infants/toddlers and their parents, offering an experiential activity through music and movement, books, and sensory objects. These activities provide a positive experience and quality time for the infant with the parent.
The activities, songs, and games stimulate all senses and promote development, establishing communication and language skills, and enhancing motor-sensory and cognitive abilities—all through mutual enjoyment, singing, touch, and love.
Friday Shabbat Celebration (with Morah Mirjam Cohen)
Mirjam has more than two decades teaching music to young children. Come and experience the magic of Shabbat with us! Every Friday afternoon, we invite all families to join our preschool for a special Shabbat celebration. We'll sing Shabbat songs, listen to engaging stories, and enjoy delicious Shabbat Challah together. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families in our community and share the joy of Shabbat.

Mommy Talks (with Bait Be Valley/ Ora Barkan)
Ora Barkan has held a clinical psychology license in Israel for the past 15 years. She earned a Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, and a diploma in Parent-Infant Psychotherapy from Reichman University, Israel. Her areas of expertise include the transition to parenthood, peripartum depression, traumatic birth experiences, and pregnancy losses. As part of JFCS, Ora offers individual, couples, family, and child therapy in both Hebrew and English.

In our Sessions we will Weekly parental topics that would resonate with any parents to infants and toddlers in navigating the challenges of parenthood, such as:
