Our Philosophy and Approach
We view play as the child's most powerful form of research
We are a play-based preschool inspired by the world-renowned schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy. This educational philosophy emphasizes the importance of a rich learning environment and views the child as strong, resilient, and full of potential. Guided by this approach, we believe that every child is capable, curious, and the protagonist of their own learning journey.
At our school, education isn't delivered through worksheets; it is co-constructed through exploration deeply influenced by Malka Haas. We prioritize the use of authentic, open-ended materials. We provide children with "real world" objects like loose parts, recycled materials, and natural elements that spur curiosity and innovation. Our educators listen deeply to your child’s questions and follow their natural wonder. We honor play as the serious, joyful work of childhood; it is how children test theories, navigate social dynamics, and naturally explore math, literacy, and science in meaningful ways.
Our warm, welcoming, and homey program is designed to support the cognitive, physical, and social-emotional needs of every child. In our dynamic indoor and outdoor classrooms, the environment shifts to meet the children's evolving interests, ensuring they build the lifelong skills needed for grade school and beyond.
Judaic Curriculum & Jewish Life
Infusing Jewish life, traditions, and Hebrew into every aspect of the day
Our Early Childhood Judaic Program is the cornerstone of our school's vision, designed to foster a love for Jewish living and a deep connection to Israel. Guided by the rhythm of the Jewish calendar and the seasons, our curriculum is woven into an open-ended environment that invites exploration in English and Hebrew.
We infuse the day with the joy of Shabbat, Tefilot (prayers), Brachot (blessings), and Parashat Hashavua (weekly Torah portion), using stories and songs to bring these traditions to life. Through the practice of Mitzvot and Kavod (respect), children cultivate a strong Jewish identity and values that last a lifetime. This program also serves as the central hub for our community, guiding our holiday celebrations, ensuring the observance of Kashrut, and uniting faculty and families in a cohesive, meaningful Jewish experience.

Our Music Program
Weaving together Jewish values, Israeli culture, and child-centered learning

Our music program is a vital part of our school's vibrant Jewish identity, deeply integrated into our daily curriculum rather than standing alone as an enrichment activity. It is designed to be a holistic learning experience where children learn with their whole bodies. Through movement and song, we address every domain of development, nurturing social-emotional skills, physical coordination, and cognitive growth.

As children explore the dynamics of music, experimenting with rhythm, pitch, and tempo they are not only gaining basic musical knowledge but also building essential listening and self-regulation skills. Beyond the classroom, this program serves as a powerful community builder, uniting different age groups and inviting families to participate in our shared traditions. Through these collective moments, we foster a strong connection to Israel and each other, creating a warm, inclusive community that nurtures a lifelong love of Jewish living.

A Dual-Language Environment
Making Hebrew a living, breathing part of our day
We are a bilingual school, immersing children in both English and Hebrew. Our goal is to have one Hebrew-speaking teacher in each classroom, making the language a living, breathing part of our day.
The Outdoor Classroom
Valuing time outdoors as an essential part of learning
We value time outdoors as an essential part of learning. Our unique and innovative outdoor environment is a place to explore nature, take appropriate risks, and engage in large-scale play. This space extends our indoor learning and invites children to engage in varied motion and tactile experiences.

Nourish & Kehilla (Community)
Kosher meals, lovingly cooked on-campus
We believe in nurturing the whole child, which includes a healthy body. We provide two daily snacks and a hot lunch, all kosher and lovingly cooked on-campus. Eating together is an important part of our day, a time for community, conversation, and trying new things.

A Day in the Life: Our Daily Rhythm
Our daily schedule is designed as a consistent but flexible "flow" rather than a rigid timeline. We prioritize listening to the children's needs, energy levels, and interests at the moment. This responsive approach allows us to accommodate special events, weather changes, or moments of deep engagement while maintaining a predictable sense of security for the children.
