A TIME TO BE THANKFUL
As Thanksgiving roles in, SPHDS extends its biggest "thank you" to our parents and school community - for the ongoing support and dedication. The administration would like to especially thank our dedicated teachers and staff, and recognize our great student body. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
NO TURKEY SERVED UP AT TURKISH NIGHT
SPHDS parents and students have done it again – transformed the MPR into a gourmet restaurant serving up a delicious Mediterranean cuisine buffet. The 100 restaurant goers enjoyed a fabulous dinner with an overflowing table of shwarma, falafel, hummus, salad, garlic fries and delicious baklava for dessert. Of course this evening wouldn’t have been so wonderful if it weren’t for the many volunteers, spearheaded by the fabulous three-some Mindy Cramer, Hagit Schachar and Debby Feder- Haugabook who worked double and triple shifts. The volunteers cooked, decorated the MPR, set up tables, bartended and cleaned.
Thank you to: Marilyn Shechter, Michael Haines and Deena Goldfeld-Haines, Fern and Arthur Rabinovitz, Jim Haugabook Shirly, Katz, Yael Fultheim, Michael Lerner, Mollie Sherbin, Daniella Schreiber, Avril Landes, Devorah Soncino, Einat Bauman, Rony Schachar, Sam Cramer, Smadar and Oded Lerner, Miriam Hecht and Rebecca Pagano.
Special thanks to Meni and Margarit Peretz for their guidance and tireless work.
To the 7th and 8th grade students who added to the atmosphere by serving and attending to the guests.
The SPHDS community eagerly awaits the opening of the new Kosher restaurant “Kitchen Table” in Mountain View, and thank them for their support. This is a major step in the growth of the South Bay Jewish community. We wish them hatzlacha rabba in this important initiative. We will update you on news and information regarding the opening.

CHAYE SARAH - RABBI GOLDSTEINS THIRD GRADE SIYUM IS A SWEET SUCCESS
On Monday the third grade completed Parshat Chaye Sarah with a bang! With A Chumash in one hand and a candy cane in the other, we said farewell (for a while) to parshat Chaye Sarah and hello to Parshat Toldot. We also remembered the great life of our Matriarch Sarah and how to learn life lessons from her.
