GAN AVIV LECTURE ON SLEEP ISSUES
One of the most important topics for parents, child rearing, is how to get their children to go to sleep.
This subject will be addressed on Thursday night, December 13th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., in the Multi-purpose room, by Lizi Oceransky who will cover issues of sleep and how to set routines for children to go to sleep. It will be an interactive discussion between parents and Ms. Oceransky.
She holds a BA in Special Education and a MA in Counseling from Haifa University and has more than ten years of professional experience. She is a social worker from the Jewish Family Services and works with children at SPHDS. She is trilingual: fluent in Hebrew, Spanish and English.
There is no cost for SPHDS parents but there is $5 fee for community parents.
GRANDPARENTS AND SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY
Last Wednesday, the campus was filled with excitement as students and their grandparents and special friends had a wonderful day sharing, participating in joint activities and being with one another. Guests were able to get a glimpse of what occurs during a preschool day.
Afterwards, students and their special guests met in the MPR and enjoyed a delightful Thanksgiving program presented by Grades 1 – 4. The songs, dances and skits were entertaining and the costumes were creative and colorful.

LOST CLOTHES
There are a lot of jackets, sweaters, hats and lunch boxes belonging to our students in the Lost and Found. The weather is getting colder and we are sure they will need their “lost” items to keep warm.
Please check the Lost and Found, which is outside the school office, and perhaps your child’s lost item(s) will be “found.”
