RE-ENROLLMENT
Prior to sending out contracts for the upcoming year we request our parents to re-enroll their children now. This serves a dual purpose. It allows parents, if they enroll by the due date, January 18th, to guarantee a place for their child and enables the school to have a firm grasp on the enrollment numbers, thereby helping the school set the budget accordingly.
Our cut-off figure for Room 1 is 20 children. In the rest of the pre-school we operate on a 7 – 1 ratio. Thus we would cut at 14 in most classes.
In Kindergarten our maximum is 27 and in the grades it is 20. Once we exceed these numbers, students are placed on a wait list. Where possible we might either add a teacher or a class if there are sufficient numbers that warrant it.
We are very excited about the projected enrollment in a number of key classes. We are anticipating well over 20 of our pre-kindergarten students to enroll in Kindergarten with another 15 from the community clamoring for slots.
Almost all of our present Kindergarten students are planning on being here next year for Grade 1 with some new students joining them. 2007 – 08 looks like its going to be a bumper year, but we do need the paper work.
Parents who have misplaced their re-enrollment forms can either download them from www.sphds.org or simply ask Rachel, who will gladly produce one that has already been completed and simply needs a check and signature.
SIBLING RIVALRY LECTURE

a successful mediator.
