Middle School
The Middle School program helps the students grow in their ability to “learn to learn.” Fifth through eighth grade students experience rigorous General, Hebrew and Judaic Studies.
Students complete research projects in English and Hebrew and participate in scientific investigations. Middle School students enter the world of departmentalization, attending classes with teachers specializing in each subject of the curriculum. Students have lockers for their books and materials, are involved in student council, do community service, are “buddies” for Lower School students, and participate as leaders in school-wide activities. Graduates of SPHDS Middle School are admitted to and succeed in high schools of their families’ choices.

Our faculty is a dedicated team of outstanding and experienced educators, all committed to every student's intellectual and emotional development.
